This is so sad.

IMHO, this should never happen. Once someone calls the police and says someone has a gun and is ready to shoot at / kill the police, our officers need more support than just a few officers showing up in cruisers.

Quite frankly, IMHO, I wouldn`t care if they went in with tanks and just blew up the house with this crazy guy in it.

What is going on here? The article said the cops tried to peacefully negotiate with him? This is probably because their hands are tied.

Forget "peacefully negotiating" with people like this. Kill them on site.
