I recommend that you use a grit guard to avoid scratching the car with the dirt removed, maybe the grit guard wash board so you can scrub the mitt against it to release the dirt.

I was trying to join in the fun but put it too stale. "tomorrow, or the next day, or the next, ect" would have made it more obvious I guess.
