What did you do detailing wise today?

lol
man who doesn`t want to live next to Ron?

I can attest, because I live in the same town as Ron, that not only does he have just about every product available....but is also very generous! I`m new to this site and met up with him at a car show and he gave me generously sized "samples" of Wolfgang Uber rinseless, Kenotek showroom shine, a bug remover spray, and a microfiber bug towel! Plus, he let our 10 year old corvette-obsessed son sit in his car. Thanks Ron!!!

Probably a good choice. I might also suggest taking a peek at Gladiator`s line. Sears and Amazon have these on from time to time for a good price.

They definitely look better but been thinking want something plain and less expensive. I would like another shelf.

Spray the wells dirt and all with Barebones

sent from me

Have you tried these scratch free scrub pads? i get mine at my local grocery store for less than $2 for a 2pack. I grab one and get my hand in the wells and start scrubbing any stubborn junk. They have served me well in removing road paint from wells twice already. Let the stuff soak up in cleaner/degreaser/tarminator and then hit it with this and see if it helps.

Al, I did pick my Gladiators up for sub $200 walking through Sears one day. I`ve seen them for around that price several times since then and also on Amazon, course that may never happen again, I don`t know. I just went out and looked at both of mine, they have the same number of shelves as what you have shown. With gallon height products/paper towel rolls and sprayers (32 oz. or a bit taller) on the bottom 2 shelves and then just regular size bottles (typical liquid polish/wax 16 oz) on the top 2 shelves I can`t imagine having comfortable usable space if there were another shelf in there. Both of mine are the tall and deep cabinets. They make some that aren`t quite as deep. I like the locking wheels on them. I also picked up a couple of their hip high roll cabinets for hand tools and two of their laminated tables. The tool boxes will fit under their tables. They`ve been pretty nice. Not trying to give you the hard sell here. I just like it when people can actually tell me about something they`ve used.

Edit: Now I`ve been looking at the going prices. Maybe I didn`t get these that cheap.

I am sure they could be cheaper on a Black Friday type sale. I will try to get them this weekend since I am in a rush and not going to wait for a special deal.

Re: Gladiators... You definitely get what you paid for with these things. They are powder coated, which is nice. The cabinets I got have a 10y limited warranty while the modular drawers I got have a lifetime limited warranty.

They also look great...

Went to Wally World for some eggs and misc. food items, and of course i have to see what they got around that i could use for detailing so i found this little beauty of a pen light there for less than $3 and it was the last one they had too. It`s got 2 intensities and i just tried it in my garage with all the lights off to inspect my white paint and it worked like a charm, it spotted some smearing from my last wash when i was trying to remove the last of the water spots, along with spotting the difficult to see remaining water rings that i`ll be working on removing next week. It takes 2 AAA batteries, that was a plus since i don`t fully trust rechargeable equipment.

Got home and got these in the mail, i will be using them for rinseless washing but since i`ve read so many mixed reviews i had no expectations for them. I did the CD Test quite a few times and they passed without any issues, i`ll see how they do during the actual wash.

Hey Costco used to carry those till they replaced them with their own lint deluxe towels. How much is a bag of those?

Between $22-$25 for like a 36 pack, they are 16" x 16" . These have probably been the only towels that i`ve really had to wash before use because as i was taking them out i could see small lint pieces, nothing crazy. I didn`t like their appearance at first but once i started handling them more they are decently plush and should do well for rinseless washing. If they do, i`m going to stock up on them. They are 350 GSM.

350 is pretty good. How about the Kirkland ones? it doesn`t say on the package as far as I know. I got one package of detailer and four packs of Kirkland/ SAMs club MF

Sorry no clue, these have been the only "bulk" "cheap" MF towels I`ve bought to touch paint with. I haven`t been to a Costco/Sams in ages and the WalMart near me does not have this brand of towels. They got some at 400gsm but for the price I might as well get quality brand name ones.

Finally got settled in and set up my maintenance wash station.

Also marked my tumbler for identification purposes since my wife has the same one.

Now I just need to go out and get a hose so I can wash my poor car. Been a month and roughly 3k miles since it`s last wash.

Been shopping for a camera so I can take better pics, and maybe some vids.
Just now ordered this
