Meg`s Q.I.D. Issues

I know posting this here is the right choice because posting this "Over there" might catch me some flak. Besides, I think I`ll get better answers here.

Here`s the issue: Every bottle of Meg`s QID that I buy all smell vastly different. It used to smell good, light, and clean. Now, it ranges from heavy, pungent and unusable, to moderately vinegary (wow, that`s really a word), and just barley usable.

They came this way right off the shelf. I don`t think it`s the new 3M acquisition as every bottle smells different than the next.

Any thoughts?
 
hmm..can you put it in a clear bottle? I have a gallon I bought about two years ago..never had any issues

I could see if yours is the same color as mine..but I never noticed any bad smell


is that what you sent me in the XMT bottle?

No, that`s not what I sent. I wouldn`t do that to you. I sent you D180. That stuff is a-okay. I`m referring to the black bottles that I buy OTC when I see it on sale.
I`ll try to take a pic if I have enough left. I`m going to baseball practice with my son right now, so I`l try to post later. But, thank you for the help.

ok I didn`t think so but wanted to make sure..I`ve never bought it OTC so I guess I am of no help to you then -- that`s weird though

if I get a chance tomorrow I will go to walmart and see if I can do some research for you on their OTC selection of that product (or just buy it and return it the next day-ha)
 
I bought a gallon about 2 months ago and it has a very vinegar smell unlike the black bottles I had. I didn`t think much of it until now. Still works the same just not a great smell.
 
3M has nothing to do with it. 3M and Meguiar`s run independentlyof each other. Contact Meguiar`s and they will take care of you. The number is on the back of the bottle or post on their forum in the customer service area. My gallon smells fine.
 
I have 2 different gallons about a year apart and both stink and one will make your eyes water if you try spray in the car. have to apply to towel out side car in vented area.
 
I thought this "vinegar scent" issue was a matter of a bad batch getting released and that Meguiar`s was replacing it for people.

that is accurate.....contact their customer service....they will need a picture of the bottle....and they will replace it for you......I had the same issue, and they were great about it
