Open Box Sale

Why not try the turbo dryer? Its on sale at AG and after a price match and the Connect discount itd be under $100.
At that price i wonder if i should just make an offer on the master blaster motorcycle open box

Just not sure which one would be better
~$100 is my budget there but id rather get a couple other items for that amount.

i really could use a good dryer for wheels and jams etc tho.

Always tough decisions made possible by great sales.not a bad problem to have i suppose

Do you have a Masterblaster at all? Imo, its worth 100% worth saving up for the 8hp. I saved up, got a ton of points and then price matched, lets just say you wont ever see an 8hp mb going for what I got it for thanks to Ray!

If you have a shop vac with a blower port you can simply swap the hose from the intake over to the blower port and use a concentrator nozzle to blow out door jams, grills, emblems etc. Thats what I did until I was able to score a Master Blaster.

Thats actually what ive been using my extra 5.5 hp shopvac for

This 8hp mb draws 19amps...seems like a lot..is that gonna pop a fuse or breaker?

Yup! If you dont have at least a 20amp outlet available then yes, it will pop a 15amp breaker with both motors running. Id add if you are planning on using the blower a lot, installing a 30amp breaker w/ the correct wire is a must. A 19amp load running on a 20amp breaker for an extended period of time is not a good idea.

I would use a dedicated 20 amp outlet at minimum.

well that just took me out of the running then.. my breaker box is full as it is (bummer)

I guess I will make due with my current setup.

BUT the 4hp 9.5amp one would be fine, right?

It would. Generally you dont want to run something that is the same rating of a breaker (such as 15 amps on a standard 15 amp breaker). Its best to stay about 10%-15% under the max load rating, more is better.
And when I was researching a MB vs the turbo blower, the turbo blower seemed to come up as being a better unit as opposed to the 4 the MB. But if its just for small areas it probably wouldnt matter much.

thats good to know

I probably will stay with using my shop vac. I have a 5.5 hp and 6.5 hp and I can deticate just one to blowing duties if I need to

I think Id rather save the $100 or so and use it to get some brand spankin new microfiber towels or some more pads

or heck save it for the next round of open boxes....those rupes deals were pretty stellar

Good idea. Youll get a lot more bang for your buck that way. :bigups:

Nothing wrong with using a dedicated vac, thats what I did before my blower. My neighbors probably thought I was crazy dragging a 12 gallon vacuum around the car to blow it off ha.

I even cleaned it out with spray and wipe and replaced the filter/bag with new ones and then used it for air blowing

I have the ext shown above as well
