The "Really ?!?!?!?!" Thread

While I agree 100% that the student oughta get punished, I *do* think that she showed incredibly poor judgment (to put it nicely), and that *does* matter to me when it comes to who's teaching our kids.

And I'll even go so far as to say it *is* her fault...what if she'd left an unsecured handgun there? A teacher, in a classroom, oughta be far more careful about what he/she leaves accessible to students; kids are kids and kids do certain things rather predictably.

AND...IMO a teacher oughta have his/her cellphone on their person at all times so it's there in an emergency. Eh, I see all sorts of FAIL on her part. AND....[rant coming!]

Why must so many people have unsecured nude pix of themselves here/there/everywhere?!? Why don't they consider what might, and all so often *does*, happen and behave accordingly? IMO it's either some kind of pathology or they're simply stupid. [/rant]
I get what you're saying, I just have a huge problem where the focus of attention/action is.

Yeah, heh heh...the whole thing could've been one of those Teachable Moments I keep hearing about ;) had it been handled properly.

Eh, wouldn't surprise me if the little [individual] ends up claiming he's some sort of victim (after certain types of folks finish coaching him).

Air travel is worse for the environment than cars…

According to a 2010 report ‘Specific Climate Impact of Passenger and Freight Transport’, emissions from planes have more of an impact on global warming than all the traffic on the world’s roads.

So you saying that the having your avg 747 burning 5 gallons of fuel per mile with absolutely no emissions system is worse than the same fuel burnt in a car with crazy complicated emission systems.

Been there for training a few times. Huge emphasis on these things each time. If you run across one EVERYTHING stops.

It's the world we live in ... at Ft. Bragg, you maneuver around nesting sites of the protected red - cockaded woodpecker and at Ft. Bliss, you avoid Native American heritage sites

(Fort Bliss manages more than 19,000 archaeological sites and more than 550 historic buildings, structures and landscapes on 1.12 million
acres of training land.)
