Fk1000p two thumbs up

I'd be willing to try some products under FK-- I have tomorrow off and could use one of the sides of my bed to run an experiement on (I have some fk1000p I was gifted by a fellow member)

and a whole lot of LSPs to put under it

512detail- I'll be interested to hear which (if any!?!) products don't play nice with it.

If I were doing such stuff these days, I'd get about six layers of KSG on some vehicle, and top that with FK1000P. Then just redo the FK as needed for a few years, see how long I could go before the need for a complete redo became obvious to me.

well I just realized I don't think I could stick out a test long enough to outlast FK - lol

but I wouldn't mind trying it on top of a few products I have on one part of my truck..always interested in a test

don't have KSG though-- and come to think of it I'd imagine FK would outlast most of the sealants I have

FK on top of essence? (hell i'll top essence with just about anything to see how it fares- out of curiosity of course)

512detail- I don't really use that many sealants, but yeah FK1000P simply *kills* both UPP and BFAFPP, at least in IME, and I use(d) those on the garage-queen S8 that hardly ever gets driven while using the FK on vehicles that get (ab)used *hard*.

well that's a test I don't think I can go through with in that case....fk is just too durable for my desire to apply something. lol

sounds like fk could be topped with a sealant (exp, bf, etc) in that case

Heh heh, you crazy Autopian you ;)

Now that's something I hadn't considered! I know you can top it with a wax, but I dunno about a sealant. Some of mine (guess I'm thinking UPP mainly) are really finicky for me, don't bond to underlying LSPs well. But again, I've hardly tried any of the seemingly innumerable sealants/LSPs on the market these days.
