Detailing on Gas Monkey (Fast N Loud)

I was watching Fast N' Loud last night and thought it was cool to see a Defelsko Paint Gauge with Flex and Rupes polishers in a short segment on auto detailing.

The show revolves around a 1 of 1 Packard that's being prepped for Pebble Beach. Richard Rawlings wanted the paint in perfect condition and had it detailed by Nicks Detailing.

I found a short clip of it below. The detailing segment starts at 27 minutes and 32 seconds.

There was a little more on detailing later on in the show, but I just wanted to share.

I love how the world of detailing is getting a little more of the spotlight.

I highly recommend watching the full episode.

I was just talking about this with someone. I had to rewind the DVR because I saw him walking in with Rupes bags and the huge assortment of polishers. Pretty awesome to see on TV!

p.s. I was scanning the crowd the entire time they were at Pebble Beach to see if Mike Phillips or Bob McKee were in the background.

I've seen Nick's posts over the years on some of the other forums I visit. Nice to see someone I recognize getting some TV exposure.

Have you seen their F40!!!!! I wonder who detailed it before Nick...

The F40 isn't the only one on that show it seems like it is a lot of the cars look like that. I am a fan of Counting Cars and I see the same smudged and swirled sun shots and just give a chuckle. My thought when I see that is I still consider myself an amateur or one step below an amatuer detailer and I think I could do a better job. I only work on my car and only have been doing it seriously for the last 3 to 4 years. I may not do a decent job when I wash and dry but when I do my spring detail to get out the prior years swirls and get it ready for summer it looks better in the sun then some of those cars.
