No Mess Tire Dressing Applicator

The applicator I use is sorta like a SurBuff and its strands get into the recess just fine. It works better for me than foam, seems better able to deal with all the sidewall stuff (why do they mold all that [crap] into the sidewalls instead of just necessary info?!?). I do have to use a toothbrush/etc. to get into some areas of certain tires though...eh, dressing tires is about my least favorite aspect of detailing, hate it worse than windows.

What applicator do you use? I hate dressing tires as well, but this applicator makes it really not too bad. I used to use the Carrand brush - but you would have to go around the tire 50x.

Then I used some soft squishy applicators. Little pieces of them would fall off and get on the tire.

I've used pieces of grout sponges - but the foam isn't firm enough.

I've also used "tire swipe" type thingess. Same thing. Foam is too squishy once it's saturated.

I think Griot's sells some applicator that looks pretty nice for like $15.
No thanks.
