Suggestions for Business Cards

I'm looking forward to setting time aside to design my first business cards this Friday night for Ray's Way Detailing and I was wondering if you guys had any tips or suggestions for business cards.

So far I know I'll have my business name, phone number, website and email address. Do you guys include any packages or prices? Before/After pics? Discount codes or any other marketing strategies like "show this card for 10% off"?

I plan on having them made out of plastic in full color front and back and I'll only give them out to people I think are serious.

Thanks!

I always wanted to have some made out of plastic, but the cost really exceeded what I wanted to spend. Someone on here suggested Moo.com and they have some really nice cards at a reasonable price.

I don't know if I would do my first set of business cards with a 10% off on it. Eventually people could expect that and try to get it every time. Maybe use those for first timers that are "on the fence" so you can seal the deal.

I would like to have something like this on the business card, "A referral is the best compliment you can give!".

With the package pricing, one of the guys on my Facebook suggested package pricing during a certain period of time on your website.

Before and after pictures would be cool. Business cards are always so hard for me to decide on because there are so many options. I always had the idea of putting your info on one side, and on the other a 50/50 shot. But not a picture. Its actually printed where on side is smooth and glossy and the other side is matte or swirled. the writing would same "make your paint pop again," or something to that effect. I honestly don't even know if that is possible, but it seems cool in my head.

All of the above sounds good. I'd suggest thinking about a magnetic card people can toss on their fridge. It'll keep your name out in the open and not tucked away in a wallet/ drawer and forgotten.

First Time Detailing? - I LOVE this! It makes it sound very welcoming for first time customers and who doesn't like free stuff? I love the idea of a free consultation. Maybe I can make a custom vehicle assessment page to give to the customer when they come to pick up their car to highlight areas I would recommend servicing. Sort of like an oil change place does for your car by grading the condition of your air filter, tires, etc. This way when someone just wants a wash and wax, they can leave with an idea of what they should consider getting detailed. Thanks for this great suggestion!

Back to School Special - I think the keyword "sanitize" should be used. Caring parents love that word :) But I do love the idea of targeting specific "seasonal" customers.

Get ready for tailgating - Fat chance I'll be discounting RV's :)

Coatings - I think the keyword "ceramic" or "nano" should be used. But I like the idea of enticing an upsell.

Thanks Boostin!

That does sound very cool. I'm sure it's possible with enough $$. I've seen some amazing custom business cards before. I could see that idea being applied to acquire higher end customers at a concours show or high end auction/event.

I completely forgot about magnets. Hmmmm great idea Angus. Maybe I should make both cards and magnets with different information on each medium to see the type of feedback I get. I can see magnets being better to give to someone AFTER they get their first detail. This way they'll have it on their fridge to remind them of maintenance or to remind them to share they're experience with their friends and family. Thanks Angus

Rayflections Auto Detailing (was my initial thought)

Dead thread i know just bored at wor

I went with a picture of synergy beads on top of pbl on my truck for my card

I Found a good vista print coupon and got 1000 high gloss highest thickness double sided. Business logo on other side with scanner to my fb page.
