UPDATED 9/2015: Autopia Polish Comparison Chart

Re: UPDATED 5/2015: Autopia Polish Comparison Chart

Can you help with CG V32? I figured it cut similar to Menz 400. Is it closer to Menz 300? I haven't had a use for the 300 yet. Thanks for the chart, extremely helpful.

Re: UPDATED 5/2015: Autopia Polish Comparison Chart

It is interesting that 3D says there Finishing Polish is more aggressive than their Polish just going by the names and categorized as a medium polish.

Ben or David will need to provide the difinitive answer, but some are from the HD line of products (HD Speed, HD Polish, HD Adapt, HD Cut)--the others are from the 3D line.

Re: UPDATED 5/2015: Autopia Polish Comparison Chart

Updated with the new 3D AAT Compound and Polish.

Printable PDF's will be updated soon :)

Re: UPDATED 5/2015: Autopia Polish Comparison Chart

How does M151 finish? It seems to be the most aggressive AIO.

Re: UPDATED 5/2015: Autopia Polish Comparison Chart

I would add that polishes (AIO's too) are pad dependent but they do not state the pad to achieve the cut noted.

For example, I know Poorboys PwS has slightly more cut than TPnS with same pad in my experience but not sure it is 2 steps.

Re: UPDATED 5/2015: Autopia Polish Comparison Chart

This is a great tool for the beginner, like myself, it shows not only all of the polishes out there some that I haven't seen but also where they fall in aggressiveness. For someone like me it would take months to learn about the information contained here in one place.
Thank you!

My understanding is they're all color coded the same.

I wish it were this simple, however it's not.
Just about every manufacturer has different color codes for the aggressiveness of their pads - Lake Country even has different Color Codes for several pad types.

Exactly. That's why I wish for a comprehensive pad guide, even if just for LC pads. Like where do my HT pads fit into the CCS/flat pads? The struggle is real

Re: UPDATED 5/2015: Autopia Polish Comparison Chart

So if that's the case how are you to tell what each mfg's pads are? They only sell by color. Are we just suppose to guess? That doesn't even make sense!

Re: UPDATED 5/2015: Autopia Polish Comparison Chart

Will the chart be upgraded to include the AAT products?
How about the new product lines 4 Star and BriteMax..etc

The AAT products are actually already on there. I'll update the chart to include "AAT" (not sure how I missed that).

The 3D HD Rubbing Compound is the AAT Compound.

And the 3D HD Finishing Polish is the AAT Finishing Polish.

Ben@3D was nice enough to send over info on where those products go on this chart shortly after their release.
