Needed to replace the coolant reservoir tank this weekend (bad coolant level sensor) so I ended up cleaning up the engine bay.
Here's the new clear tank next to the old black one.
Greasy intake manifold.
Decided to use BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Waterless Wash Concentrate (New Formula). With the 1:48 dilution ratio, it would only cost me $1.56 to fill up the 48oz sprayer at the current $24.99 price tag on a 16 oz bottle of concentrate (before any discounts or coupon codes
)
I used the 48oz Chemical Resistant Pressure Sprayer. The low spray pressure on the widest spray pattern gave me confidence I wouldn't be injecting water or waterless wash into any sensitive harnesses under the hood.
Before removing the coolant tank.
Removed.
Replaced. I should buy gloves.
I used PERL to dress up the engine bay. Undiluted. I've been using this stuff for years under the hood and I've never had a problem with it. I'm confident the next time I pop my hood, all the black plastic, rubber and vinyl will look just as good as the day I cleaned it.
Much better!
I had to run to the Auto Parts store to pickup coolant, so I ended up picking up an oil change kit while I was there.
Thanks for reading!
