Any Performance Mods To YOUR Car?

Mods for my mustang: shorty headers, cat deletes, 3" SS exhaust SVT axlebacks (Borla stingers removed, waaaayy to loud w/o cats) and soon to go back to stock mufflers as the SVT's are still very loud at start up and wot. BMR springs, lower control arms / relo brackets, upper control arms / relo bracket, adj panhard, K member and koni dampners. 2.3 TVS Supercharger, conservtive tune, vacuum / boost gauge, Ford racing throttle body, 123 mm CAI, IDS 1000 injectors, triple by pass dual fan heat exchanger, oil catch cans. Changed 3.73 to 3.31 being I had zero traction in 1-3 gears. Fish tail at 80 isn't much fun. Future mods, new fuel system (Fore) once the corn is available in my area and looking at wider forged wheels, no traction. Currently at 625 rwhp and 570 rwtq at 8-9 psi.

Not yet!
Once I break her in I'll do either a Piggy Back or a Tune. Both are good for a 1 sec 0-60 reduction. Stock is 4.5.
I have one of the first 500 of the fastest AWD VW's brought to the states.

I had a lot done to my last car as for the truck I've only done a couple things.

-S&B cold air
-Magnaflow Exhaust
-XD Spy 17' with Hankook Tires (originally had spacers but removed them)
-5th Gen back bumper (had a hit and run bodyshop hooked me up with a newer bumper that fits the exhaust better, not pictured)
-Debadged and removed pinstripe
-Tint all around

4u2nvinmtl, That's impressive. Especially your 60ft times.

I went with ARH longtube headers, CAI and a dyno tune this past spring. Just went back into the shop Thursday for a SC with Meth injection. Should give it a nice kick in the pants.

Gee, I missed this thread too!

For what might be the first time since ...[thinking]...forever, none of my current vehicles are souped up!

Selling the supercharged Crown Vic has simplified my life *SO* much that I'm not in any big hurry to mod the current one; so far I've only tweaked the suspension. I *have* accumulated a pile of parts for it though, and sooner or later...

The Audis stay stock other than debadging. The Jag's stock except for Konis that went on when it was new. The Tahoe's staying stock....for now ;)

No real performance mods for me, though I have considered doing a CAI or SRI. Can't decide which way to go or if it's really worth it.

I did some aesthetic mods: interior led's, footwell lighting, Opt7 led's for lows and highs(want HID but too big of a project), and put a complete sound system in. Also vinyl' my tail lights so it's all red, didn't like the clear accents.

Im hoping in this next year to do a katzkin leather self install and maybe a remin dash/trim kit.

So if you add vents and stripes, it's 10 hp increase, or is it more since it's a double set?

When combined you only get a percentage of each, not sure what the percentage is though. That is how it was explained to me on the Camaro5 forums. To my car I added a ported TB a 5hp to 10hp add, a CAI about 15hp add, high flow cats about 10 to 15hp add. But I was told you would get the hp if those were added by themselves with no other modifications, but when you add each one you only get a percentage of each. I was never told the percentage.

If I had to guess when both are added you might get a total of 8hp give or take. But don't forget to add the chrome valve cover than I think you get every added hp doubled or is it triple.

Just bumping this to say that I do really enjoy seeing what perf mods people here have done. I'm still, uhm...detoxing after selling the blown Crown Vic, though I have started accumulating stuff for the new one :o

512detail- I gather you're happy with Intertia Motorsports. Good that you have a shop that does right by you. The service life you're getting out of your rotors *is* impressive!

And I really like that old-timey grille.

Hence the name?
Heh heh, yeah.

Q: "Do you collect cars?"
A: "Nah, I just accumulate 'em."

Though I'm getting better about it...down to six.

thanks..yea the grille is peppered with chips..totally should have gotten it cleared/or wrapped prior to install (I did recently put some celeste dettaglio matte on it and its buttery smooth now)

yes I met STU (from inertia) two weeks after I bought my car in 2008 and he smoked me in a RT charger (heavily modified of course)
I always told myself once I had a decent job and some extra money I'm going to take my SRT to him...well 70k plus miles and six years plus later..im ready.hahaha
my club buddies swear by other guys but inertia is a world renown shop for HEMIs and its 20 miles from me..id be dumb to pass them up

IMO you're smart to stick with a shop that satisfies *you*. That's nice and local too.

You have any troubles with rust in the rocker panels? The horror stories I've read kinda spooked me, can't quit thinking about that every time I consider swapping the Crown Vic for a Charger.
