I just picked up a 2011 Ford Explorer limited - black on black. Beautiful vehicle and at a very good price. The bad is that it's seen 60,000 miles of smoking, by one person, in it. Ick.
I am looking to place an order today on items that will help me get rid of the smell. I plan to clean the carpets, headliner, etc. with an extractor this coming Friday. I was hopeful there may be a product you could spray inside that would rid the car of the odor and then another to "implant" the new car smell. Sort of like a "flea bomb" for pets.
I read placing coffee grounds in a can in various places in the car will help; so will a charcoal filter and even dry ice.
Any thoughts on the above?
Thanks in advance!
