Adaptive Abrasive Technology (AAT) Explained

Actually, it will be released any time now. Due to a massive hiccup in shipping right currently, we are still waiting on a final component so we can begin filling up about 50,000 bottles of product.

Are you going to be a Detail Fest 2015?

Will you have it there?

David:

Getting back on track.

Can you put some numbers out for your 2 new products #501 & #502? Specifically:

1. grit rating (1200, 1500, 1800...)
2. bottle size
3. sample sizes
4. approximate ballpark pricing for Q2 and Q3

Lastly:

5. general availability
6. closest 3D distributor to New England

Thanks.

Great questions. Answers in bold.

Keep in mind that we don't just use mechanical abrasives in these polishing compounds. We also use a chemical additive too. But, our compound should easily remove 1200 grit sand scratches on fresh or cured paint. In fact, I know one person who was able to remove 800 grit scratches with additional passes. But this isn't typically the case.
2. bottle size
Quarts & Gallons
3. sample sizes
2 ounce
4. approximate ballpark pricing for Q2 and Q3
TBD

Lastly:

5. general availability
Online and through distributors
6. closest 3D distributor to New England
Autowash Online | Carwash Systems, Equipment, Parts and Supplies or Pittsburgh's Premier Car Care Store for detailing supplies, equipment and accessories. - Autoality Incorporated
Thanks.

I heard about a strike in california as it was holding a container of stuff I was waiting on stuck there back in december.

Cannot wait to try these

So its clear that the AAT rubbing compound is a better version of HD Cut
how does HD adapt compare to AAT finishing polish?
The chart rates adapt as a 6 and AAT FP at a 5

My next assumption would be 3D is working on an AIO with AAT forumulations?

I can't say what brand unfortunately lets just say most have never heard of it. Their not in the business of being Meguiar

The difference is in the fact that it wasn't made for a price, it took millions to develop two of the polishes and their not interested in making products for cheap or to a set price like the masses are.
It costs heaps more to produce.

Cost Millions to Develop
Costs Heaps to Produce
They do not want to sell it to anyone

I call BS

It does not cost Millions to develop ANY detailing product

If it did cost Millions to Develop, you sure as heck had better be selling it to everyone

Any chance these will be released in 16oz? I really want to try it but it is hard to pull the trigger on $50ea when I do not polish all that much. Or should the smaller project guys just stick with Adapt?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say probably not. The AAT line is focused towards body shops and offering a smaller that typical size for them wouldn't be good business move on our end as this size really isn't in demand in this market. Couple that with the 1000's of bottles we'd be forced to pre-order and it could really backfire on us. My only suggestion would be to maybe team up with another person(s) and split a bottle. Sorry.
