I took a bed comforter that I had purchased for $65 to my local dry cleaners to be cleaned. They want $33. Logic would follow that a complete detail for a $30,000 car should cost around $15,000. No?

I did that once. The guy at least explained to me that I'm better off buying a new one cause of the cost to clean it properly

Time to raise prices

You know, there is or was a guy in England used to post sometimes and he was charging the $15k and up for his Details..
He even made some videos of his work..
Cant remember his name but someone here will know..

How big was the comforter ? King ? Queen ?

I just did that too with a Queen and it was a lot ,but if you think about how hard it is to first clean it, then dry it, then get it all smooth again, and somehow, pack it all perfectly into this plastic bag like the one it came in when you bought it, I think they are charging fairly... I would hate to do that big dog myself...

Mine was some kind of material not entirely cotton, looked beautiful, feels great, but a huge pain in their dry-cleaning-butts to get it wrinkle free again.. They said please dont bring this back.. :)

Odd you mention this. I also have a comforter i was wondering how much it would run to have dry cleaned. I figured......

Dustmite-proof comforter covers can save you a bundle...though nasty things *do* happen now and then, at least if you have pets.
