Zymol Zyntek motor oil

Yikes! $99 for 5 L, which is appx. 5.3 quarts. That's just enough to change the oil once in my 3.4L engine. A $99 oil change? I think I'll stick to Amsoil -- it's kind of pricey, but not that pricey!

Agreed..... I put 4.5 quarts in my 4.3L V6, and I use mobil 1. Costs me $60 per oil change, but theres NO WAY that I would put zymol oil in at that price...

OMG Zymol Oil Ok, who wants to bet it's relabeled Motorvator from K-Mart? :D

Hey, it's not merely oil -- it's Engine Protectant. Didn't you read the bottle?:p

Hmmm, I wonder if it smells like coconuts?

:lol Yeah but I bet it feeds and replenishes the natural oils in metal of the engine too right? :D (I didn't bother clicking the link.)

 Come on guys, it contains coconut oil, banana skin oil, volcanic water etc etc. so it has to be good for your engine. But honestly for that price they can shove it where Zymol cant polish.

Im still in shock, im suprised it isnt infomercialed yet.:p

How does a Mobil 1 oil change cost you $60? I use 5L of Mobil 1 for every oil change and it costs me a total of $24 (including OEM filter).

ive had time to think about this after the initial shock and no matter what i wouldnt buy oil from a car detailing(meguiars, zymol etc) compnay. Just doesnt feel right.

Um good on them for trying though, i spose:rolleyes:

I don't do it myself... I take it to an oil change place that charges $24 for a regular change, and $60 for mobil 1.

So you're telling me that @ $99 bucks for 5 quarts or so....I'd have to spend almost 150 bucks to put 8 quarts in my Northstar!! Wow, no thank you Zymol.

Question: Do they give you a bucket to scoop it out of with your bare hands to warm the oil? ;) How about free refills of your bucket for life? No?? Okay, I'll stick with Mobil 1 :D

EDIT: And what's with the name?? Zyntek? It sounds like a sports drink to me. That should be the hook "New Zymol Zyntek....The sports drink for your engine"

Good to see another AMSOIL user out there! I use the 2000 formula, go 25,000 miles with a one quart add when I change their filter at 12,500 and it costs me a total of about $45 a YEAR in oil. Buwaahaawaahaawaahaa.... what a scam these oil companies have going. And a car wax company seeing the marketing potential and jumping in the fray... so fitting. LOL

Are you having the oil analysed at a regular interval? If so, how frequently? And what does that cost you each time?

Would you consider posting your latest analysis here for all of us to see?

Wow... wow.....

They compare their product to common oils and to blends, but make no mention of other synthetics. I think I'll stick with my Mobil 1. Think we'll start seeing Zyntek signs up on F1 tracks and such? What an odd place for them to move into... wow...

On a side note, I noticed this: "Warm engine (not hot!) to release old trapped oil.". I've heard people say to change oil hot, but I never saw the point. Hot oil doesn't get untrapped from places that hold cold oil. I know hot oil will flow a bit faster, but I'm in no hurry. What's the point of doing this? I can't picture hot oil "holding" contaminents better either. And if that were the case, wouldn't the "contaminents" just settle out in the pan as the oil cools? So it would still come out... Just curious what some of you all might have to say.
