Zymol wax and QD

Which QD can I use to lightly clean my car during the week? I usually give it a good washing before the weekend but I like to clean it during the week and lately ive been using Megs QD (not Ultimate QD) to clean it when its dusty not completely soiled. But as I understand it megs QD is not the best, particularly with zymol wax? I think I cant use field glaze because its more of a liquid wax as opposed to a quick detailer that I can literally mist on-wipe off.

Any suggestions? Maybe a different brand?

Thanks and :bestwish

When it comes to QD you have to ask yourself what you want.

The Megs red bottle QD is universally ok with just about anyhting. The mist and wipe one is mainly just cleaners, which would be ideal for you to spray on the car and then apply Field Glaze over the top of.

Some QDs contain content which forms a mini sealant which often change the look of the LSP.

If you dont want this think of Clearcoat QuickShine or over the counter Mothers Showtime.

But be advised, many QDs that major on gloss enhancing dont major so well in safe cleaning! Spray and Wipe is a good cleaning QD from Poorboys, but if you want it to look good, chase each panel with Spray and Gloss.

Thats the idea! Anyway, on my Zymol, i currently have Japon and Destiny i use Quickshine or when its very pollen like recently i use FK425 or Surf City Garage Hot Rod Detailer. For extra boost i use Pinnicle Crystal Mist, the new forumla contains NO WAX its just a QD.

Zymol do a QD called "detail" its pretty medicore, and doesnt smell that good!

Ok, I want a QD that will pick up dust! Meaning if my car isnt soiled terribly, I can use a QD to spiff it up and get it clean. You know, just back from a trip round town and want to get some dust off.

I dont neccessarily need a QD that will add anything to my car, I have field glaze for that but if it adds some shine without affecting my current coats of zymol Glasur and applications of field glaze then its fine.

I use Poor Boy's Spray and Wash for that. I keep it in my car with microfiber towels. Works great for me. Good lubrication...the pollen is killing me!

CorruptedSanity, I've been using FK1 425 QD on my Vintage wax for about a month now. It really works well, looks great, and cuts down on the static electricity, which greatly reduces it's dust attraction.

Another vote for ClearKote QuickShine. I used to use zymol exclusively (usually Concours or Destiny) until I got my current car (its somewhat drab silver finish seems to respond better to other types of products). When using any zymol I found ClearKote QuickShine to be extremely compatible with zymol, and super easy to use. I have not tried the Poor Boy's spary so can't compare the two, but I don't think you could go wrong with CK.

I highly recommend Sonus' Carnauba Spritz. Other brands that you could try would be Poorboy's, Pinnacle, and a few others mentioned above. Zymol has two QD's that you could use, but since your coatings are freshly applied, I would not use Zymol Detail on it as, although IMO it is a great QD, it is a bit more aggressive than I would like on a fresh wax finish. Field Glaze probably would be more appropriate, but to this day I have not yet had satisfactory results from it. I may try them again just for the benefit of the doubt.

I tried field glaze for the first time yesterday. It was dark, so I coulndt really tell but so far so good. Ill check it out today (for hazing as you/others have observed).

Well I parked it today morning, in the shade, and didnt notice any hazing, well no excessive hazing or I would have noticed when glancing.

I'm actually pretty happy w/ the Eagle one spray and wipe (can't remember the actual name). Grabbed it on a whim and I'm happy with it.
