Zymol HD- Cleanse review

So i havent been on here a while (i know i started the last thread the same way).
Today I did the eclipse. i decided that i would give zymol HD-cleanse a shot. So here is a review of what I thought.

Product: Zymol HD-Cleanse

Size: 8 OZ bottle

Price: $24 US thats 3 bucks an oz.

Directions per zymol: (paraphrased). Wash the car, clean off any loose dirt. Then you apply using firm to heavy pressure. Let sit for 20 seconds.

How I used it: as they said on the directions, i havent experimented enough to try it anyother way

Initial thoughts: Dang this is expensive but I have heard its good. I wanted to try a few diffrent cleansing products so I can leave zymol out. I have been impressed up to this point so why not

Smell: It smelled like choclate.. it was kinda weird. I honestly loved it at the beggining but it got old fast. But hey i can deal with a lot worse so no biggie

Texture/colour: It was a brown creamy liquid. Kinda like a sun screen texture

So i used it and this is what I thought

Cleaning ability: it worked well, it seamed to leave the paint nice and smooth and soft. It cleaned off anything the clay missed

Added depth: the cleanser left the paint really deep. Similar to the lite cleanse by VW. I dont know how to explain it but it seemed to make the paint look as though it was a mile deep. It also left the paint nice and shiny, it was like I applied a coat of wax.

After I applied the wax it only got better.

Final thoughts: This product seemed to do the same thing as Victoria wax Lite cleanse (i think that was what LC was supposted to be like). It added depth and clarity, ad well as helped clean the paint. I dont know how to explain it.

Would I buy it again? no probably not. It worked awsome but the VW stuff works exaclty the same but is cheaper. And i like cheaper.. (lite cleanse is 16.05 CDN for 8oz).

I liked it but its too expensive..

I know this review was kinda crappy but im outa practice. Its been a while. Ill have to get my flow back..

Any comments or questions would be awsome

Mike

Well, since you haven't been around much lately I'll cut you a little slack on the review.

Any drawbacks during application or removal?

Thanks, i really appricate that.

Umm i didnt find any huge draw backs. i didnt let it dry, but im sure if you did it would be a PITA to get off.

also the bottle kinda sucked. It had one of those press one side of the top and it will open the other side of the lid (the basic type). I found that i would squeze to much out at a time wasting product. But other then that it was very simple and straigh forward

Well.....Zymol HD Cleanse........without the Zymol wax............outrageous!!!

J/K....nice review and results. Just in case if you didn't know it, HD Cleanse works well via pc as well. I do remember (now that I was thinking about it) that it may have been a tad of a pia to take off. I really didn't give it much thought, but it was a challenge. Next time I will remember to work it off in sections instead of all at once.

Any idea what it translates to in terms of a polish?

I'm thinking it's the same as PB #1 but harder to take off

Im not sure what it would translate to. however i know it has no abrasives in it. It is more of a cleaner then polsih. I think even pb #1 would be stronger then HD-cleanse

and its definlty nothing like any of the pb's products. I used to use the SSR line and there are little to no similarties

HD Cleanse is actually a chemical cleaner and Glaze oils all in one hence the quality of finish following application.

My tricks and tips:

- Never let it dry (Your only making like harder)
- Once you done the whole car do it again (if you have time)

It is a great product but it is expensive

those are some good points the only problem is the high price point of HD-cleanse. It may doa better job but when working on a clients car there often isnt time or the money. I have found that i cant charge a ton yet as im still new into the business so I can afford to use 2 coats of HD-cleanse. For a personaly vehical this sounds like a good idea but its just not economical for a customer car.

I have used HD cleanse in the past with Zymol carbon and the Estate glaze.
It reminds me a lot of Meguairs#7 only better ( and probably better for your paint). I recently used the products form Worlds best wax and their Surface cleanse is right on par with HD cleanse. I only bring this up because I think you orderd some too. If you didn't yet do so I am really impressed with all thier products.

I havent ordered any yet. I had a mortage payment come in and i just couldnt afford it. I will try it in the future.

I really look forward to there trying there product. I have heard they are on par with VW. which is my fav wax. So hopefully i wont be disapointed.
