ZFX and Z2 Pro...

I purchased Z2 Pro and I was wondering if ZFX is necessary for the first coat. I've used Zaino the last few years, and I put the Z2 Pro down on my car without ZFX, just like a coat of Z2 or Z5.



It does say "For optimum results use ZFX" on the back of the bottle, but it says that on Z2 and Z5 also.

Zaino needs ZFX or Z1 for the initial coat (per Zaino's instructions).

It was my initial coat of the Pro, but not of Zaino.

So you didn't remove the previous Zaino? Was there still Zaino on the finish?

Yes, I did my last coat of regular z2 3 weeks ago.

I would assume that your fine. But for multiple coats at one time you would need the ZFX.

Yes, you are fine unless you are using multiple coats.
