Zep to remove bugs and tar??

Well, I am just wondering if Zep Citrus-based stainless steel cleaner/degreaser is safe to use on paint. I used quite a bit of it in combination with my usual Turtle Wax bug and tar remover liquid to remove the bugs and tar from my lower sills. I felt it worked very fast and very well, but I am worried about using this on other vehicles. I first got the idea from a detailing video that showed the detailer spraying a citrus-based degreaser on the lower portions of a supercar to help remove bugs and tar. Thanks!
 
Ahh the infamous handwax applying super detailer video... I'm sure if it says "stainless stell citrus blah blah blah" and has no dillutions ratios specificn for painted surfaces, I would stay clear, simply because it might have other in active ingredients that don't play well...

There are many other citrus cleaners that do stay are safe for painted surfaces though, might wanna skim thorugh homedepot's isles a bit more.
