ZCS:Should I have ZFX'd and done multiple coats of Z5

Thursday I polished my car with IP, then followed with Zaino PC, then ZAIO.

Normally I would've done ZFX/Z5 Pro X 3 after that. However, I understood that ZAIO eliminated the need for ZFX unless you were doing multiple coats in one day. I was running a little short on time this time.

I then used Z-CS for the first time, and I called it day with plans to use Z8 the next day.

Pre-CS, the car looked really awesome! After I applied CS, I didn't notice much of a difference. Honestly, it didn't look any better than Z5 Pro/Z8. Even after putting Z8 on top of the CS, I wasn't totally blown away like I was prepared to be. It looks really good, but the WOW factor is not there like I've seen on other cars on here.

Should I have gone for multiple coats? Where did I screw up, or did I?

I didn't get to drive the car after all this work because it was rainy and the car is not a daily driver. I haven't seen it out in the sun. I'm pretty obssesive so I've tried to not worry about it too much. I'll look the car over for hours if I don't watch myself.

Z-CS isn't supposed to have an appearance "wow" factor, IIRC, it's supposed to have an ease of use factor.

Agreed. It does exactly what its name says "clear seal". Basically, it locks in the look you have and adds durability with very little effort.

Next time you wash, use Z8 again and I think you will get that wow factor you want.

maybe you didn't use FPII after IP? just speculating as i always notice big improvement after the FPII following IP. then i use Z5 and Z2
