Zappos for online shoe shopping - excellent customer service!

I'm sure many of you are familiar with Zappos--the online shoe store. I just want to mention how great their customer service is. I bought a few things from them before, but never returned anything for an exchange until this past weekend.



I phoned them to ask if there's an online form to fill out and was told that there is not. But there is a postage-paid return label that you print out. If it's an exchange, you can tell the person over the phone what you want and they will send it to you via overnight express mail for free on the spot without having yet received the item(s) you are returning. You also have 365 days to return anything (naturally, the shoes have to be in new or like new condition unless there's something defective about them).



So:

  • postage-paid return label
  • free overnight express mail delivery of replacement product
  • immediate exchange--no waiting until they receive your return item
  • 365-days allowed for refunds or exchanges
  • 24/7 customer support



Apparently, they don't spend much on marketing, so most of their $ go into customer service. I called the guy on Saturday and received my shoes on Monday. They've also got an absolutely huge selection of footwear. Just thought I'd share that info..



P.S. They also sell clothing, but I've only bought shoes from them.
 
Thanks for that tip! I haven't heard of them before, but it looks like they have a much better selection than the shoe stores in my area. Sending a shoe back that didn't fit sounded like a hassle before, but it looks like they cover that area pretty well.
