ZAIO-CS by Hand vs. Cadillac DTS

2004 Cadillac DTS, 40K on the clock.

My father-in-law is in his 70’s, and has always taken good car of his cars.

He’s been after me to bring him ‘the good stuff’ to his place in Daytona Florida, during our Easter/Spring Break Holiday.

That said, I packed a few easy to use detailing products for an afternoon for the boys.

Today was clean up day. The paint and glass were littered with water spots (mostly rain followed up by full sun). The temps were in the mid-80, and the humidity was in the high 80’s. Everything was applied by hand –beer included 

Wash: Dawn

Polish: Zaino AIO (Paint, Glass, Trim, Lighting, Wheels, Jams), followed up by a Z6 wipe down.

Protect: Zaino CS (Paint, Glass, Trim, Lighting, Wheels, Jams, Interior Trim)

Tires and Wells were dressed with Z16 x 1. He’s still taking about the ‘magic glaze’ on his paint that he didn’t have to wipe down 

Here are a few after shots in the parking garage.

If time permits, we’ll take a few sun shots on Friday.

Looks great:goodjob

Thats one thing I like about z cs, if you apply it after zaio it almost looks like you added a coat of clear to the car.

Ok, A few outside shots that capture the reflection, gloss, and flake a bit better than the garage setting.

I’m off to the beach :nana:

Looks great!

Looking forward to those sunny shots :).

How did ZAIO fair on the water spots?

Sean, ZAIO made short work of the water spots on the glass, but the flats on the paint required some elbow grease, and in a few areas 2-3 applications.

Jeez! Even when the car isn't in direct sun you can tell there is massive amounts of flake. Great job!

Greg

Thanks Greg. The flake in person is unreal.

One last shot for the biker guys.

This one is taken at "The Boot-Hill Saloon" -a Daytona favorite for Harley owners.:2thumbs:

That must be one happy grandpa. I do the same for my grandfather and then he takes me out for killer dinner after.

LOL. Yes he is.

I applied 1 more coat of CS in full sun (with full ocean breeze) this afternoon and the paint flake is flat out insane at this point!

Wait until you try CS in warm weather my friend!

CS dries quick, and the gloss 'pop' jumps out in a matter of 20 minutes or less.

I'm not capturing anything close to what you see in person.

John, Great work as always!

Was the paint warm when you applied CS?

I was going to apply CS last month on a friends car, but was worried about the paint being too warm as the car was sitting in the sun.

Thank You.

CS was applied in partial shade(it was pretty sunny out). The paint was warm to the touch, so I'd have to imagine we were working with > 100 degree surface temps. I would not apply in the sun to a dark color.

The dry time was accelerated from what I've seen in the the NE (much cooler temps).

Looks awesome John. Z-AIO has become my favorite cleaner wax type of product. I also like the fact that you no longer need to do a Dawn wash or use ZFX if you sue Z-AIO first.
