Zaino Z8

This is for those who have requested Zaino Z8 pictures.

My car was last detailed on December 1, 2004. I polished it with Menzerna and applied 2 coats of Zaino Z5. Since then, it has had general maintenance of Z7 car wash and Z6 QD. This week I applied Z8 spray sealant twice. Other than that, it has had no special attention. The paint is still slick (especially after Z8), glossy, and beading water *very* well.

Here are a couple of pics (a little dark):

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

Matt - I knew someone would want beading pictures :D I hate wetting down a clean car, so I will take pictures at the next wash and update this thread (early next week).

Drewski - my name is Zane Oliver, and I use many other products besides Zaino.

Sean - The car is garaged at night but daily driven (150-200 miles a week).

Looks great ! Very wet looking. Especially for a red car ! My own experience with Z8 is that I just have to dust my car occasionally. I drive a lot, and I just dust it off mainly... I found that I have some micro marring, so I used Z7 to wash it, Z5 for some maintenance, and Z8 to top and my cars "glow" (never really leaves) is right back! The system rocks !:bounce

Looks SWEET Zane!! :xyxthumbs

I'm going to have to try some of the Z-8 out. I assume it is more like a spray sealant like OCW and Z-6 is more of a traditional QD? Does Z-8 layer like the rest of the Zaino line?

Thanks again, guys :)

Mike - Z8 applies much like Z6. Spray a small amount and lightly buff until dry. You can apply it as many times as you'd like (to my knowledge). I've done two coats in one week with no negative results.

It just keeps getting better and better !:bounce

I doubt you can layer z8 like z5 or z2. Second application of z8 will remove the first

application so you're wasting your z8. :)

Thanks for the update on Z8. I tried out that sample you gave me and Z8 is definitely some very slick stuff. Tried mixing it in with QEW too and there was a noticable increase in paint slickness that way as well.

Have you tried using it over other sealants? If so, what were the results? Seems like it would be a good booster spray for EX-P, for example.

Scott,

I've used Z8 over the top of several different sealants (UPP, Mothers SynWax, EX), and have always had good results. As far as I can tell, Z8 will work with almost anything to add temporary gloss and slickness. However, it probably only adds minimally to the durability of non-Z products . . . looks and feels great, though.

Gee...thanks for your Jedi insight!!

My point was that that aren't any negative effects such as smearing from applying and reapplying frequently, and no, the second application doesn't *remove* the first.

Scott - I've tried it over some different waxes and sealants, but haven't been able to monitor it too well.
