Zaino Z6 and other Qd's affect on Z2 and Visa versa

I have been reading a lot of threads about carnuba toppers over poly's. With all the chatter of pros and cans I have decided to try Pinnacle liquid Souvern over my multi coats of Z2. The results I have heard about have been quite good.



Sal does not recommend this but then he wants to sell his product, I respect that.



What I am curious about is the affect either companies QD would have on the other. Does Pinnacle QD contain silicone of carnuba?





My obsevatios are as follows:



1. A topper over a poly must be a non cleaning type wax. Pinnacle meets this criteria. Otherwise it would strip or compromise Z2, true?



2. If I choose to layer more Z2 I must first do a dawn wash to remove the Pinnacle.



3. Black cars benefit more from this application.



4. Finally dawn will NOT strip Z2, true?



My questions are these:



Assuming the above is correct I would like to know if Z6 will be okay as a QD for the Pinnacle. Also what about Z7?



If I decide I don't like the Pinnacle topper, would the reverse be true? Could I use Pinnacles Qd for Z2?





Any feedback greatly appreciated.

I think most all QD's contain some silicone. Only way to know for sure is to contact CMA. They make the stuff.

True for the most part. Carnaubas contain some amounts of solvent to suspend the wax and make it work. It's the solvents that dissolve the Z2. I think you're OK with Pinnacle.

Yes.

Correct. You'll need IPA or a wax remover to get it off completely.

I think most opinions are that Zaino products are best used as a system. As soon as you start using them out of their system their effectiveness is diminished somewhat. I think Z6 and Z7 are very expensive products unless they are part of their system. Can you use Z6 and Z7 with Pinnacle? Sure, don't see why not. But I think other products would work as well and at a lower cost.



If I decide I don't like the Pinnacle topper, would the reverse be true? Could I use Pinnacles Qd for Z2?
