Zaino Z-10, 1Z LederPflege and Sonus Leather Conditioners

I've been contemplating getting one of the following leather conditioners as an intermediate solution between doing the once a year Leatherique Prestine Clean/Rejuvenator Oil treatment:

Sonus Leather Conditioner, Made in Italy, $14.81 shipped.

Note: It looks like Sonus Leather Conditioner is not made in Italy anymore. It is made in the US (I don't know if it affectected quality and formula).

Einszett Lederpflege (1Z Leather Care, Maker of the famous Gummi-Pflege), Made in Germany, $18.89 shipped.

Zaino Z-10 Leather in a Bottle, Made in USA, $20.95 shipped.

Since there were no reviews comparing Sonus with 1Z and Zaino, I went and bought 1Z and Sonus. I probably will buy Zaino sometime in Spring when I am ready to place a bigger order with Zaino. Since they have a flat shipping charge it is not cost effective to buy just one item.

So far I tried 1Z Leder Pflege and while it was shinier then I expected (probably due to the fact it has carnauba wax in it), the seats look great.

It's been about a month since I applied 1Z and leather still looks great. I had a small scratch on the seat and another surface scratch on the door arm rest. They are not visible any longer. They were still there after two applications of Leathereque, which makes sense since 1Z has carnauba wax and most likely filled the small scratches.

I am very happy with 1Z, especially since those two small scratches bugged me before.

I love the 1Z, it does put down a nice layer of wax that really protects the leather from body oils and friction. In fact in another thread someone put on too much and couldn't get it off. For me, it is not shiny at all, though I do put it on very thin. I use a meguiars yellow foam applicator and put on a nice thin coating. I noticed the biggest difference in the steering wheel, with other products, the wheel would get shiny in a few days because of my greasy paws. With the 1z it stays matte for a few weeks. I'm going to be comparing the 1z to the Leather master system soon.

I started by cleaning my (already pretty clean) seats with 1:6 mixture of Woolite and water and then applied 1Z using a terry cloth applicator. The seats ended up being a little bit shinier (not too much) then when they were “naked”.

I am very happy with 1Z and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a day to day easy to apply conditioner.
