Zaino vs Klasse

I know this question may have been answered 1,000 times but I wasn't really able to find it in the search.

Last spring I gave Zaino a try and was pleased with the results. Unfortunately, I found it a little bit of a pain in the ***. It was difficult to remove and you have to give it hours to bond with the paint. It turned a quick wash/wax into an all day chore. Do the two Klasse products offer similar results and do they require the same amount of time to bond with the paint?

I'm confused. How does Zaino take hours to bond to paint? Every time I've used it it's only taken a matter of minutes (ten at most.) It was also very easy to buff off.

I'm not too fond of it's look, but it was very easy to use. I think this is a case of user error, using way too much product at once. Try using a LOT less product next time you apply.

Klasse SG is temperamental, and AIO is very easy to use. If you're having problems with Zaino, SG probably won't be any easier.

Yes, it's been said millions of times before that SG is a real pain (AIO is too easy to use). However, I have never used Zaino so I have no opinion on it.

To answer your question on whether Klasse provide the same results, I'm sure a naked human eye cannot tell the difference. My neighbor uses Zaino and I Klasse, and he once asked me if I used the stuff he recommended (Zaino, of course). So, in a way they do provide similar results. The only reason I chose Klasse was because there are only two products having to be used compared to an X amount of Zaino products available, and me not wanting to buy all of them.

Klasse needs no time to bond onto the paint. AIO can be wiped on and wiped off with full effect. Some others, however, recommend a 24 hour waiting period for layers of SG. With SG, I usually do the whole car and wipe it down immediately.

Since I started using it two years ago, I've never had a problem with it. After reading Klasse how-to write-up's all over Autopia, it should be clear that LESS IS MORE. When using AIO and SG in very small amounts there should be no problem in buffing it out especially when using the two towel method (one wet and one dry).

So, if in fact, you have correctly applied the Zaino and still find it a pain, give the Klasse twins a try (LESS IS MORE).:wavey

Which Zaino product(s) did you use and how did you apply it ?

Zaino is normally very easy to apply and remove if you follow the instructions. Using the ZFX additive reduces the wait time to under 1/2 hour.

I have used AIO/SG combo on my Bravada. It is holding up well. The application was simple and strait forward. Followed all the advice from this forum. It was easy on and easy off. Less is more cannot be stressed enough.

Just started using Zaino products. To say that less is more cannot be stressed enough. Had a slight problem with Zaino because i did not put on a thin layer. With that in mind, the next application was even easier for me. Buff's off with no dust.

Protection is my ambition. AIO/SG was done in December. It is still beading.

Zaino touts longevity so that is why i used the stuff. Zaino produed results even my wife made comments about. Both my pickup and my wife's new car have three coats of Zaino Z-2 Pro with ZFX. The car is a garaged nightly. The pickup is outside 24/7. They both looked terrific. Will see what the durabilty of Zaino will be. Will report again on this in October.

I think the Zaino worked very well and did in fact last a long time. The product did a good job holding up even through the hard winter in northern NY. The problem is my paint is very dark. I cleaned it very well, my process was as follows

used Z2 with ZFX (which I beleive to be a gimmick)

Z6 Spray

Z5

Z2

Z5

The later aplications did come off a little easier, but per advice of Zaino, you can only remove the product if it doesn't smear when you touch it with your finger. Even through I applied it very thinly, it continued to smear and left a lot of holograms when I tried to take it off. maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it was very difficult to get off by hand.

Yaemish, I have found the new Z2 Pro to remove easier than any other version I have used previously. It also dries much quicker even when not using ZFX. I usually start removing it right after it has been applied to the whole vehicle.

To my eye, it also seems more glossier and slicker now also.

Please note that I confused Z2 and Z5, I do the Z5 first then the Z2. I really want to continue using the Z2, can it be used with teh PC and if sp what is the process as far as time?
