Zaino + swirls = what next?

Hi everyone,



Here's my current situation:

2004 Java Black Pearl (black with gold flakes) Subaru WRX with 3 layers of Z2 followed by Z6 spray each time and just recently a coat of Z5. The car looks great in the shade or dusk but when its in the sun, there are a lot of swirls and messiness. So my question is, what am I doing wrong? I don't think the layers of Zaino are too thick and I always take my time. Should I try some ZPC? Is it ok to use ZPC on top of what's already there? I'd like to stay in the Zaino lineup and not have to spend too much money on new products, but I am really considering getting some ZPC and Z8 spray and see what happens...



The paint looks ok in these pictures (actually, it looks really good!) but in person and in the sun it looks really bad!

man oh man! the reflections in the 2nd last pic made me think it was YOUR PAINT that was peeling!!!

You need to polish your paint to remove the swirls, simple as that. You can't wax them away.

anyways give zpc a go and it should take care of your problems. you have a pc right?

No, I'd be doing it by hand... I have a really crappy 8" buffer, but I shouldn't use that right?

yeah I probably wouldn't use it. you can do it by hand, I just don't have the patience.

Will Z-PC remove Zaino Z-2 PRO, Z-3, or Z-5?

Yes. By it's very nature as a diminishing abrasive, Z-PC breaks down the finish including Zaino polishes.
