Zaino Question

I just ordered some Zaino Z2, Z5, Z6, and ZFX. I read up on the Zaino process but was just wondering what order worked best be it the 2 followed by 6 then 5 then 6 then 2 ect. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

There's really no need to use Z6 between coats...IMO it wastes product. I would start with Z5 and end with Z2. Maybe Z5 x2 then Z2 x2.

As Mat stated, no need for Z6 QD between coats. I do perform a Z6 spritzed MF wipedown between coats that does enhance gloss and makes the next coat easier to spread thinly.

Get satisfied with the surface before starting the Z. In my experience, the Z5 has limited filling / hiding properties. Once you are happy with the finish (swirls, defects, etc.), a few layers of Z5 and FINISH with a few layers of Z2. Each with a spritz of Z6 between them.

I use Zaino on wheels, wheel covers and black trim. It holds up very well. I perfer other products on the painted surfaces.

What I did was to make up 1 oz of Z5 w/ZFX. That was enough for 3 layers on my car. Zaino recommends no more than 3 layers within 24 hours, so it worked out. The next day I did the same thing using Z2 and I was done. I used Z6 between layers, but I sprayed my towel with it instead of directly on the car so I used less. Can't say if it made any difference or not, but I was happy with the end result and that's all that matters. :D
