Zaino not coming off!

*** is wrong, its not coming off AT ALL. Ok, well maybe a little bit, but its streaking REALLY bad. Ive never had this problem before, and i used very little, so i know i didnt use too much. I put Z-AIO on first, and it was tough getting off, and left streaks everywhere. So then i applied Z-5 by hand, and its even worse! Im using DF towels to remove it, and ive even tried some Z-6 and its not helping at all! What am i doing wrong? Could it have anything to do with the humidity or the weather? Its pretty hot/humid out, so idk is that is why. Anyone have any tips on removing it? Its almost like its not dry yet, but its been sitting there on the car for well over the recommended 30 minutes...

From my reading of the forums, it does seem that higher temps and/or humidity can help(!) cause issues like this. Applying too much product could cause the issue also.

I believe most suggestions are to use a QD to buff it off. What do I know, I'm just a newb :D

Take a damp (H2O) MF or cotton towel and wipe down the effected areas. Do not add fuel to the fire by using Z6.

The product that is dried and cured will not be removed by this H2O wipedown. After the finish is nice and shiny you can now QD with Z6.

On hot and very humid days and you do not have a garage, one can place vehicle in direct sunlight to speed up drying. Zaino will still wipe off effortlessly.

Do a search on how to use ZAIO and Zaino sealants. There some good tips and tricks to avoid the few problems that goes with using a sealant.

The 1st one is: Less is better. One should barely see the product on the surface.

Thanks man that worked perfectly! The paint looks great now...

Just for the record...did you use and zfx with the Z5 Pro?...if not you need to let it dry longer...like several hours in high humidity.

You're Zaino AIO was probably not dried yet, thus it streaked as you mentioned, then you put the Z5 on it, which needs to bond and cure to the clear coat, but since the AIO wasn't even off yet, it just did what you experienced.

You need to completely wipe AIO off first before applying the Z5 next time.

Humidity will not help any.

I never had any issues concerning streaking with Z-5pro. I did have some streaking using Z-AIO on my car the first time with a PC. I did a wipedown with a MF by itself and did the trick. Other than that, if I have haze or streaks caused by CS, I use Z-6 for the excess wipedown.

I'm glad you got the streaking off :)

I run into that problem as well. Sometimes it doesn't matter how light I go. I am concidering switching products because of this.

How much Z5pro are you using to do 1 coat on your truck?

1/2 ounce. It doesn't happen that often with Z5, but Z2 is a *****, I don't even use it anymore.

Are other "quality" waxes like this?

Some (like me) may consider that a little on the heavy side, but you are not going overboard by any means.

Are you giving the applicator a spritz of Z6? Is it wiping clean with your finger before you try to remove it? Most when having issues using do with Z5pro instead of Z2pro.

The thing about Zaino is I try to go extremely light so I can't even see it go on. This is what I hate about, I am not sure if I am even doing any good. I will work under a 500watt light and still can't see it going on. But there is those spots on the vehicle that happen to be over applied, and it will smear like crazy. I have come to a conclusion that maybe Zaino isn't right for me. It can become a head ache with trying to apply is SUPER thing:hairpull

Is this how all "better" quality waxes are?

I've had a problem with AIO and Z-CS. I applied the Z-AIO with a PC and Sonus yellow pad. This was in hot but not really humid weather. For Z-AIO, I ended up rebuffing the whole car by hand with a MF to remove streaks. I was a little bit overzealous with the Z-CS. Same thing, it's hard to believe just mist the applicator once and one mist spray per panel. So I ended up doing 4 spray's per panel. Bad idea. I let it cure thinking it would work itself out. I ended up using deionized water on a damp diaper cloth and wiping the whole car down. It seemed to help the streaks but now the paint has a matte finish, not a shine. The car is dark blue, almost black.
