Zaino/Meguire Combination

I recently tried using the Zaino line of products on a 04 Acura TL (metallic green pearl). By all accounts, the vehicle looked good. Appeared very bright, optically. It just didn't have the depth or richness that I also wanted. A friend suggested I layer Meguire's #26 on top of the Zaino. Which I did and this seemed to give me the results I was looking for (brightness& depth). If I add another layer or two of Zaino, does this strip the previous last layer of Meguires? Can you apply Z6 over Meguires for quick detailing?

You need to strip the Meguiars off before adding anymore Zaino. The oils in the #26 will prevent the Zaino from bonding to the surface.

So, what do I do if I just want to do a quick detialing over the Meguire's? Is it useless to spary the Z6 it? This is for when the car is not worthy of a complete wash.

You can use Z6 if you wish, but personally I would not. Would be a waste of product IMO. Z6 is expensive, and it works best over other Zaino products, and isn't designed for use over natural wax. For a QD over the Meguiars I would just find a low cost carnauba based product.

I use Meg's FI over my Zaino layers after a regular wash. I only use Z6 when I'm applying more layers of Zaino. Still on the same bottle of Z6 since January.

Congrats on the '04 TL ! How are you liking it ?
