Zaino/Meguiar's Question

I posted a thread a few days ago concerning which wax would be best for Classics & Exotics, and I appreciate all the info. After the forums input i've decided to go with(and correct me if this is not a good idea) Zaino Z-2 Pro with the ZFX Flash Cure Accelerator. Haven't received it yet but hope the results will be great. The only other question I have is about prepping the paint. Does Zaino make a product compatible with Meguiar's Diamond Cut, like Zaino Z-PC? Will Z-PC take out major swirls and oxidized dull paint like the Diamond Cut? Any tips would be helpful, thanks.

ZPC is more of a finishing polish. All depends on which pad is used and the hardness of the paint/clear.

Z2pro for lighter colors

Z5pro for darker colors

ZFX of course is used w/ either.

Also highly recommend Z8.

You need a compound- Zaino doesn't make one. Megs 105 on an orange pad is a good choice. Follow that with ZPC as a finishing polish on a white pad.

Zaino does not have compound that cuts like Megs 86 Diamond Cut.

ZPC is merely a fine-compound type of product that's effect for not-too-serious swirls.

Recommend to use either Megs 85 or Megs 105 first, to cut out all the serious defects, and then using the correct combination of pad, machine and technique with ZPC to achieve a swirl free finish.

For added peace of mind, if you hv a Flex 3401, use it with Megs Polishing pad+ menz 106FF or 85RD to achieve a truly swirl free finish. IPA wipe just to be sure, before you start spending time applying the layers of Zaino Z2Pro or Z5.

IMO, Z5 is only effective in fillin up realllllyyyy fine swirls.
