Zaino CS and static cling

I applied one coat of Zaino CS. The results are excellent. It has a shiny slick finish. My only issue is that it is a dust magnet. I can't go a day without dusting my car off with my car duster.. When I smoke in the garage, the ashes that land on my trunk stick to it. I try to blow it off but it still sticks. Is this normal for Zaino CS?

I just applied 3x of CS in 3 days to my acura. I did not notice any "static cling" or dust settling while it sat in the garage the whole time.

Never had a problem with dust "attraction" with any of Zaino's paint protectant, including CS, on either my garage queen or daily drivers. If anything I have experienced quite the opposite even though I know "no" protectant actually "repels" dust.

I do try to keep my garages very clean and the part of the country I live in is very "green" and we rarely experience desert type low humidity which can lead to static formation.

You might try washing your vehicle to possibly decrease any static cling from application of the CS and / or apply either Z6 or Z8 which both have anti-static features. This will determine if your problem stems from dust "settling" rather than attraction.

Good point, I do live in low humidity and desert = Nevada! Well, it givesme an excuse to use my foam gun for weekly washes!

I have found this in the past to be more a function of my MF apps and towels. When I use to dry them in the dryer they would come out all clingy. I've since stopped drying them this way and now just air dry.

I've never experienced any static just from ZCS though. I apply with my PC and a black pad then wipe down with Z6.

That's funny I found just the opposite ZCS seems to keeps the dust and such to a minimum compared to other products I have used.

I have no static issues or sticking issues what so every with Z-CS. As dogma said, I experienced the opposite as it repels most of the dust on my car.
