Zaino and other products question

I just purchased a used car. After speaking with the previous owner I found out they used Zaino products on the vehicle. I have never used Zaino. I am not sure if I will use Zaino on this car or not. My question to all of you is can I use my current QD and Shampoo on this car or will it not work with the Zaino? I use Poorboys products now. If I can not use them without stripping all of the Zaino off I may just use Zaino on this vehicle.
 
Yes you can use other QDs with Zaino.



Some car wash soaps might contain some wax that zaino might not bond to when you apply more zaino to the car. If you use something like ZAIO before Z2/5pro then you have nothing to worry about.
 
Wow, I just checked the zaino site..I live in New Jersey and to obtain the product I must either drive about 1 hour from my home to a place that doesnt have hours that work with my schedule or try to contact someone in PA. I dont really understand why that is..you can order meguires products or go to the local auto paint suppliers and buy them. I am very confused and turned off already. Is this stuff really worth taking time to drive and go get??
 
Or you can just order them off the website. Yes, the shipping and handling is somewhat draconian, but if it saves you a drive...



Yes, there are satisfactory options that are over-the-counter in both Carnaubas (S100 at your local Harley dealer) or sealants (Mothers). You'll just have to reapply them every 1-3 months to keep it beading and looking good.



However, if you want a sealant that not only looks good, but stands up over the long haul, Zaino is fairly unmatched. Save perhaps Ultima Paint Guard Plus which you won't find over the counter either.
