Z2 Pro is much thicker than the old Z

First post, been a long time lurker. I have used Zaino for some time and have been happy with all of Sal's products. I tried the new Z2 pro today with ZFX. Really struggled with how thick this is. :scared: Had a hard time just getting it into the small bottle to mix. The temprature was in the 50's and then 60s before I finished so I don't think it was that. Is there any way to thin this out a bit? I am happy with the result but it was a bear to mix and use. Thanks in advance.[/FONT]

Yes, it is thicker and I stuggle a bit too. I like the old consistency much better. It takes a little getting used to. I dot know of any way to thin it out and I dont think there is a way with out messing up the formula.

Maybe you could put the bottle in some warm water for a few minutes? That might temporarily thin it a little.

I've been using Zaino for about 3 years.

Try saturating your foam pad with Z6 or Z8. It will spread it thinner and give a great shine.

(Haven't tried the Z2 Pro yet... Still have about a year's supply of Z2!!)

I did this today....

Thats looks fantastic!!! Super wet!!

I find that applying Z2 Pro can be a tricky adventure as well. I saturate my applicator with distilled water.......wring it out really good.......then I give me applicator a few squirts of Z6 or Z8.

If i have to, i just put it on think, the bottle still will last over a year, and it wipes off easily enough.

As mentioned above: Spritz applicator with Z6 or Z8 but I have also found that Z2-PRO spreads much easier if the surface is first QD'd with Z6 prior to application. Z8 can also be use as a pre-treatment but be careful not to overload the system. An example of a one day session: wash (Z7), polish (Z-PC), Z6, Z5/Zfx, Z6, Z5/ZFX, Z8, and 3rd layer with Z2-PRO (no ZFX needed). Z8 several hours later or next day.

After several uses of the Z2-PRO one will find that application becomes much easier and the results are well worth the practice and slight extra effort. :xyxthumbs

Have to admit that blkZ28Conv hit the nail on the head. :idea misting the applicator pad helps but you will have the best results if you do a quick Z6 wipedown prior to the Z2 also. I never used to use the Z6 between coats but after blkZ28Conv's advice I now do. never had a problem with the Z2 being hard to work with. just do the wipedown, it is worth the effort. thanks again blkZ28Conv for your insight.

The best results I've gotten with ZZ Pro is with applicator saturated with warm water. I always spray Z6 on my applicator as well, but the warm water trick worked the best. I still use more per coat than the old Z2 though.

It is a little thicker, I always use a small sponge to apply and never had any problems. When I tried the applicator it seems to soak up the Pro and is hard to maneuver. I also use either Z6 or Z8 between coats. As far as do you need Z6 or Z8 , I know I do I would not want to be without them.

They are both awesome for after washing ,between coats or after final coat. Without them its like having peanut butter without jelly. JMO
