Z2 + CCD (Mini) = Clean Wheels

When I applied Z2 to my '02 A4, I also applied it to my wheels (after cleaning and claying). Besides looking great, the wheels are very slick. So brake dust doesn't settle on them as much.



But, there is still some brake dust, especially in the rear. This evening, I got a brainstorm and said, "Well, Duh! Why not dust with the mini CCD that's sitting around doing nothing." So I gently dusted the wheels with the mini CCD.



Result? Virtually all of the dust came off!



To get the last 5%, I used an MF dampened with Z6 QD to finish them off. That took about 3 minutes. They look great and the effort was minimal.

Humm...I've never really thought of that before. Great idea. :xyxthumbs I may have to pick up a spare mini duster.

~One manâ€â„¢s opinion / observations~



Iâ€â„¢d be interested to know what happens to the duster over the long term, when itâ€â„¢s been used to clean brake dust.

They are designed to remove light dust, but not the oily road dirt/dust found on road wheels.



[It important to use the duster only for the removal of dry surface dust, if the vehicle has oily road film, road tar, damp pollen or dust, etc the vehicle surface should be washed.]
