Z-5 Pro on Dark Red

Some knucklehead chipped the rear bumper of 2005 Mercury Montego a few weeks ago, bouncing a grocery cart off of it. While sometimes I just hate people (OK, most of the time), I got it fixed this past week, and decided that this was a good excuse to detail it from top to bottom.

Start at 9:00 AM yesterday. Finished around 2:30 PM. Started with all the glass and cleaned it all, inside and out with Zaino Z-12 Glass Polish. After the glass was clean, I treated all the exterior glass with Aquapel.

There were a few other light scratches that I had to remove with some Zaino Z-PC, my PC and a polishing pad, but overall, after a year owning this car, I didn't have too many swirls to worry about. I gave my Montego two layers of Zaino Z-5 Pro and a layer of Zaino Z-2 Pro. Finished with a wipe down of the whole car with Z-8. All the grained exterior plastic, including the rocker panel molding and the cowl, were treated with Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss, as were the tires, and the wheels were detailed with Z-8, sprayed on a microfiber pad, and then applied to the wheels. I used some Meguiar's M40 in the wheel wells.

Here's some pictures, comments, good, bad, or indifferent, welcome:
