Your process?

Hi,

I'm new to detailing so I need a good complete process on how-to detail my car.



1- Wash

2-Clay

3-Wash

Polish?

AIO ?

SG?

Wax?





Anything else to add? :D and in what order? :nixweiss

today i did a wash, clay, wash, paint cleaner, polish, NXT x2.



i used the deep crystal system sans the carnuba. i wonder if maybe using the carnuba and topping it with NXT x2 will work/ look good?



even w/o the carnuba, it worked well for me considering it was all store bought. :D
 
Those are all appropriate steps, however you should maybe refer to Davids e-book for further evaluation, it will more than likely answer the majority of questions that may arise. When all else fails, were here to help you......

As for polish and cleaner, sealants, clay etc....Well, we all have our preferences, some work better than others, some work better for some, some people swear at some product that others swear by, so .....lol, what do i say ....

Today was my first time with AIO. I really can't recommend it highly enough. Read my post or my review.

And I always seem to get these awful reflections, they are so clear and wet looking! Oh well, it's the look I'm going for, so I guess I will live with it! J/K:xyxthumbs

Lately I've been satisfied with this initial detail. Every couple of weeks or so I go through the same process. In between this I always wash with NXT and finish with Megs QD.

Clay

NXT on PC

Wait 24 HRS

Also the process that I do on clay is borrowed from a member here and it works a lot better for me.



Wash - Dry - Spray panel with QD - Clay panel and wipe w/ MF - Repeat

I am ordering the same thing o4cobra, everything by hand also for now. I am going to use s100 to replace the CMW though but thats it! I may also use 2 polishes (SSR2 after 2.5)
 
It is better to evaluate the paint and then decide what polish etc you need. Think of the Autopia book as the first step in your process.

My paint seems to be in pretty good shape so I need a light polish. What in Megs line do that?:confused: or AIO do the job?

6 Wax ? Does Mothers Carnauba wax is good?

I've got a bottle of Eagle 1 Nanowax, can i use it as a topper?
