People complain about government but in reality is a reflection of them. You see at any organization where there is more than a few people and someone want to do something charge (family, school, church, business, charity) so naturally it is also in government. Let`s toss in a few lawyers to add the spice.

BTW, the original post was making the rounds in the conservative media as attributed to Jeff Foxworthy`s comment on Obama. However, it was actually written by someone else and has been modified by many as it passes around. (source: Snopes).
 
It`s obviously copied and pasted I`d add one of my own...If you live in a country that would elect a known criminal, racketeer,liar,murderer, and the most corrupt politician in our country`s history... You live in a country OF idiots.
 
We might sell Egypt (and other dangerous countries) F-16s, tanks, and other weapons of war, but we keep a tight lid on repair parts for said equipment. Remember Hussain`s tanks in the sand. They were sitting ducks and we knew it. We have hard enough time keeping our own equipment running (I was a Quartermaster Officer). Before Desert Storm most of our Reserve units were non-mission ready due to major equipment problems. That has since been remedied, since now we plan to send the Reserves to the front lines and keep the highly trained troops in reserve. It came as quite a shock to all those reserve soldiers that had been getting a monthly check for showing up to a BBQ one weekend a month. I did the readiness ratings on some of those units back then and I didn`t know whether to laugh or cry they were so inept. War is Heck.
