Meguiars offers a series of paint cleaners from ( paint body scrub cleaner to medallion to fine cut and heavy cut....).

what is the difference between ( body scrub and medallion ), I mean is it ok to use both products on a brand new car that is 2 years old and its paint is not clean enough to be polished?? is it the aggressiveness that distinguish each product from the other?? when should I use each product ( fine, heavy cut and the others )?

Thanks,

Jameel.

So I?m right in what I?m readying you cant build up wax? So one coat is the way to go and doing a second say next wash is just a waste of product?

Generally the order of operations is Sealant then top it with a wax. As far as LSP's in general, you can layer some, but others it is just a waste.

If nothing else, it might help to ensure uniform/even coverage (i.e. making sure you didn't miss an area). But I believe the consensus is that you can layer some things. There is a point of diminishing returns, but where that lies is usually in the hands of the person doing the work.

From the testing I've seen posted over on the UK forum it appears that after 2 coats you reach the point of diminishing returns. Obviously they haven't tested every product out there, but until it's proven otherwise I'd say it safe to say anything more than 2-3 consecutive coats (for uniform coverage) is waste. ;)

One of the other determining factors in layering is the properties of the wax. Will it clean off the previous layer, or is it pure enough that it will not affect underlying layers? In some cases, after the product has been on for a while, you can put on an additional layer using very very light pressure as to not disturb the previous layers. I agree with what the others have said in terms of layering to ensure proper coverage.

This is what I?m going with this
summer.
Super Snow Foam in My HD lance.
Meguiars Hyper wash for the Bucket or in my case the Gil. (expensive but last)
Sonus polish
Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze
Meguiars #16 Paste Wax

winter.
Bilt-Hamber snow foam (stronger product)
Meguiars Hyper wash
Polish
Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant a few coats.
And use of my old pete 53 wax

Its just I did read a few posts saying Wax Will clean off the previous layer of wax. I dont mind doing the wax to top it up say every four or five weeks but I'm talking waxing again the next wash when its just been waxed. I always did a second coat of my BF sealant.

But i do see the point of "If nothing else, it might help to ensure uniform/even coverage"
