You Can Lead Them To Water But?

Just One More Coat
Yesterday while walking into the grocery store, I noticed one of my detail customers SUV..jet black Chevy (can't recall what it is)

She was parked in the direct afternoon sun and the amount of newly induced swirls from the automatic car wash was :eek::eek::eek::eek:

This year I've offered a wash and wax special granted I'm twice that of the local car wash places, but the results are so much better.

I guess for some it doesn't matter to them but I was floored by how hard I had worked to get that SUV back to speed to see, her car was done 5 months ago.

I have had the same thing... I did a car and a week or two later it had looked almost as bad as I had gotten it in the first place. She told me she washed it everyday and was not happy with the results and when I asked what she was using to wash it, was a combination of the tunnel washes and hand washing using one of those scrubbing pads you have to clean pots and pans.

I have also gone to people to give them my card when I see their car is in much need of attention. I told one guy I could get the buffer trails out of his hood if he woul like me too. He told me he just had it detailed and that it he thought it was supposed to be like that.

you never know I thought the same thing the other day and what ended up to be is that she took her car to the dealer for some service and they got ahold of it.

GAAAH! I have the same problem...the dealer can't believe I'm declining the free wash with service. Last time I had to say it 3 times. Maybe if I put my Rottweiler in the front seat...

LOL I asked mine if she was cheating on me. She laughed and said nope the dealer washed it. I told her next time to tell them not to wash it they swirled the heck out of that. I don't even understand how they can mess it up that bad even drying with a bath towel would't have done that much damage.

Dave can I get in on that bargain price polish and wax I promise I will be careful washing it. :rofl

Bart

Really...that's the draw back on some of those wash and waxes.

I'm very clear to my customers about how that works...currently three of them are very good about calling on a regular bases..its like taking care of my own cars.

Then twice a year depending on how the cars are stored and driven I can make a tad more for extra work...and of course twice a year I get them for full details
