Yet another reason to avoid full service car washes

Was someone behind the wheel when this happened? Given the car went between two cars it looks like the was someone at least steering.

Had a friend who brought his truck to one of those during the winter. They forgot to open the bay door at the end. Apparently, there is some sort of safety feature that would have shut down the system in such cases. Thankfully no one was standing in front of it.

Well, you can hear the engine accelerating quickly, so someone pushed down the gas pedal, right ?

And it was kind of lined up with the preceding vehicle at the end of the lot, so someone steered it to the right...

Yeah, I bet it was the trained (?) Chimp from "Corporate" there to ramp up the productivity that had something to do with this..

Too bad... And yet another reason to NOT frequent these places... :)

I dunno, it seemed pretty obvious what happened. The car reached the end of the chain, no one was there to drive it off, someone got in the car behind and honked the horn (which you can hear), so one of the wash jockeys jumped in the car and must have done the "unintended acceleration" thing, thinking he was stepping on the brake when he was actually on the gas. When the car comes to rest you can just see on the dash one of the green towels the wash jockeys were drying the car with.
