Hi all...
I decided to pull the trigger and purchased a PC 7336SP at the local Lowes. This is going to be my first time using an orbital buffer like this, and I am quite anxious to try it out and to see the results. I've been reading up on what accessories to buy for it and what not (velcro backing, yellow, white, gray pads etc from properautocare.com or TOTL) and I am hoping that you experts can chime in and help me out a little more.
Here's some info on what I plan on doing and some minor car specs:
'02 Lexus IS300, Graphite Gray Pearl (metallic, dark colored car - pics.)
I'm planning on washing and claying the car first, of course, then I will proceed with the PC. I will start with the yellow pad using 3M SMR for dark colored cars, then proceed with the white pad using Klasse AIO, and then the gray pad using Klasse SG.
Now for the questions:
1. How often should I use the PC on my car?
2. How long should I wait between applications of the AIO and SG when applied with a PC? When I did it by hand, I waited at least a couple hours in between coats, but I don't know if this rule applies when using the PC.
3. Is it safe to use the PC on Xpel/Stonegard covered surfaces?
4. Is there anything I am leaving out and should know about when it comes to using the PC for the first time? I've read this article, as well as this one, but I don't know if it's enough.
Thanks in advance for any input...this site has been a great asset to me, as I am sure it has been to you folks.
Cheers!
Matt
