As in my thread last week, where I washed and waxed 10 cars at a local shop, this was part 2 of that event. this time a more diverse group of cars (though still majority WRX/STi's).

These 9 took me longer than the 10 last week, but I think it's because I have been detailing alot of WRX's for 2+ years now, I know the ins and outs of them and the quick way to do them. I've yet to do a RSX, MR2 Sypder or SC300.

All cars got washed with armor all shampoo, and a coat of NXT applied with a PC and grey finishing pad on 3. Tires got a Mothers tire gel that I had to get last minute cuz I forgot to pick up more HotShine.

The MR2 Spyder and the Black WRX were both heavily swirled. I really worked the NXT in a little bit more than the MR2, and I was amazed at just how many swirls/scratches it filled in. I didn't snap any before pics of the swirls, but I would say 70-75% of them got filled in by NXT. . .amazing!

Like I posted in that thread, I got another job for tomorrow night from a friend of the shops who was there and inquired about a more intense detail on a Nissan FX35/45. And another friend of his wants me to tackle his faded red Prelude (I told him about my MR2's transformation and I sent him the URL's to those pics and it's gonna be a $300 detail in the spring!)

The FX pics will be posted tomorrow of Wed. . .

ps- on a side note, after the pain in my legs last week, I went to Sears an picked up a crasftmen scooter chair (on caster with an adjustable height) and it made the job soooo much easier on my back and legs than last week. Best $30 I've spent on detailing supplies since the PC. . .

Wow, talk about exhaustion!

Those cars look great, especially for a one-step.

Besides the wheels, I love the SC300. But of course, I'm partial ;)

same chasis and motor, alot of car companies do that . . .look at F-body's, Cavalier/Sunfire, 350Z/G35, etc etc etc. . .

heck, I had a 97 Eclipse GS that shared the motor with a Neon. . .

wow, thats a lot of work for one day. the only thing i could critisize is that maybe the wheel wells could use a little more attention, but with doing that many cars in one day, i'm sure you kinda gotta bang em out. good work man!

You are a MAD MAN!

The cars came out gorgeous. You must be able to do a WRX in your sleep by now!

You BETTER post pics of the FX. That is my favorite SUV/PUV on the road :D.

the event was a basic Wash and Wax ONLY for $25. . .$5 went to the shop for use of water/space/electricity and I got the remainin $20. For that price, I honestly did more than I should have on some of the cars. I didn't even open up the doors and dry off the door jams, turnks or hoods (like I would normallu do on a full regular detail.) The idea for this was to get some added protection of wax on cars in the middle of winter (and it rained/snowed within 24 hours of both event days too!)

The FX will get the ful wheelwell treatment, doors, interior, etc.

my thread with the original 10 cars

Thanks man!

I had a WRX for 2 years and I've been the primary choice for a majority of the local WRX guys who go outside for details over the last 3 years, so I've had MANY hours working on the surface of a WRX. . .I've also gotten many a hours on the surface of a MR2, much like you on a Integra. . .so they become easier to do. . .

I'll post pics, don't worry! :D

any particualr products that you perfer to use on a wrx, im going to be doing one on wed and im not sure what to use...thanks for the advice holy crap 8 posts

I'm personally on a NXT kick. Lick I stated, the last black WRX was heavily swirled and working in the NXT a few extra passes per section really filled in the swirls.
