I have client with a white car that has it all over here paint. Whats the best way to go here? Im thinking clay first but there might be other altenatives?

I clayed my brother in laws 94 mustang and it had yellow road paint on the sides near the wheel wells. Clay removed approx 80-90% of it for me. I used an apc to get the rest off. Of course I was using TOTL purple clay, I dont know how how aggressive it is, so maybe a more aggressive clay will take it all off...

methanol works good if you can find some. Try to pop as much of it off as you can, then use the methanol to remove the rest. I spray it on the paint, and as it is soaking i spray some on a mf and it will usually wipe off, sometimes a little rubbing is required. If it is light enough clay may take it off also.

I use goof off and MF towels for paint removal. Kind of stinky smell but works well.

Try a test area first and apply a coat of wax or sealant once you are finished.

Also pickup some plastic razor blades that are easy to use and you will not damage your finish.
