Yellow GTO

Guys: Is there anything better than Meg's #16 for my Yellow GTO. I've used Zaino and it's a great shine, but it lacks depth. Meg's #16 looks deep and last but I'm running low. Any suggestions.

This is a loaded question as there are all kinds of choices....I like Nattys by PB great shine that will not leave you broke..P21s is also a great paste wax...Now if you are looking for a real wet shine try a sealant then top with paste wax...I also glaze the car before sealing then wax...mine shine like crazy....the choices are endless

Didn't mean to load a question. I'm just looking for "new" ways to enhance my yellow. (first yellow car) I'm always looking for a way to improve. Thanks for your response.

if you are looking for depth then a wax would be a good choice.

There are tons of waxes that will give better looks then 16, however they will not last as long.

are you looking for depth, depth and shine? do you want the paint to look as though it is dripping wet? what is the exact look you want? I have tried a few waxes so hopefully i can help

Like Beemerboy said, there are a ton of choices. I would suggest reading the reviews section to get a feel for what some waxes seem to do better than others. Detailing is mostly personal preference. What might work for you might not work for others.

Along time ago, back in my 20's I used a product called "final touch", it worked great on blacks and reds. This GTO is my first YELLOW. When I use Zaino, I get shine without depth. The Meg's give me that depts but it lacks that WET GLASS LOOK.

I'm just lost with this yellow...... I'm just expecting more out of this color.

a few waxes you may want to look int are

megs 21 liquid, it may stain trim but it leaves a really slick surface as well as looks as though the paint is really wet. it dosent have awsome deapth but its not bad

sovegein will give you some depth as well as a nice shine. I personaly do not like it but there are lots of people who love it.

My personal fav is by victoria wax, it is called concours. It leaves the paint look like it is a mile deal. I dont even know if I can put it into words.

I did a mistubish eclipse a few months ago with it. Do a qucik search and you can see what VW will do.

hope this helps

It just seems like every year there is a newer product and a newer way. I got "hooked" on Zaino for our Silver Town Car. It's just not the product for that yellow. I'll post some picture's after I get it done. I'll give Victoria Wax a try.
Thank you very much for your help.

I'll second that vote. VW is a great wax. I haven't used it on yellow, but it looks great on all the other vehicles I have used it on.

I find that #21 is fairly trim friendly. It is gold class that you have to watch out for.
