yellow clay

About a year ago i ordered some clay for the first time, it came an i feel in love with it. It eventually was used to its saturation point. when i ordered some more clay it came but it was diffrent (differnt co.). the problem was the first clay was the yellow clay and not the grey/blue stuff you now find. I liked the yellow clay much more, it didnt cruble and break like the grey stuff. I was wondering if anyone knows were i can still get yellow clay (the stuff adams carried about a year ago) I really want some as i likeit much better. Thnkx for any info

I think you are referring to the type of clay that was manufactured by Erazer. It was my favorite clay as well. Due to the legal disputes between Erazer and Auto Wax (Clay Magic), many vendors have been forced to stop selling Erazer clay. I managed to stock up on a decent supply for myself, but I don't know of any place that is currently still selling it. If someone knows of a vendor, please share!

I think Mothers & Pinnacle & PB's clays are more like that. I prefer the AM style (blue/grey & crumbling).

Actually Mothers is yellow but is the 'crumbly' kind. I believe that the Adams and Poorboys Old one were the Erazer brand. As is/was the Optimum. These clay bars were very elastic and didn't separate easily. I agree, this is great stuff, but with the legal troubling, hard to find.

The Mother's and Poorboy's clays I tried are like the type I'm talking about. The yellow Pinnacle version I tried seemed a little softer (not sure). Is Mother's still selling the same type of clay? If so, that might be a good source to try. However, if it's crumbling now it might be a different formula.

Holy CRAP I miss that stuff! It was so easy to work with and picked up just about anything that was in it's way...

You bet...very good stuff.

I see that the picture on the Poorboys website has changed, from the yellow that I had, to a gray color clay. It still says Poly, so I guys I need to ask Steve about that. I am running low and need to stock up.

I tried the other clays, the kind that always crumble on me, and I absolutly hate them. Poly is what I stick with.

Steves yellow clay was the best i've owned/used..since it is harder to come by im glad i used it sparringly.

unless CGs have a few yellow clay bars around..there site is showing there clay in another color..

Don't eat yellow clay, or is that yellow snow ? I use WG, works fine, kinda white/gray color. I'll probably try Blackfire next.

has anyone used the griot's garage stuff... It shows its yellow, but who knows...Can anyone chime in????

Not all yellow colored clay is the same. I once tried a batch of non-Erazer yellow clay. The stuff was so soft that it melted in my hand as I was using it.

That would not happen if M&M's made clay:)

I havent used the sonus clay but right now there are very few suppliers of clay in N.A. I have heard itis the same as every other clay (and yes i have found them to be the same). The one clay that I did find I loved was the pincale poly-clay. It works really well, it still falls apart more then I would like but it is as close to the old yellow clay as I can find.
