i think the stuff is gimmickey bull but i was seeing if anybody here has experience with it....i use it at the dealership....but the "as seen on tv" line kinda has me worried

Yes, there is a member that got ripped off with that BS and I believe he got most or all of his money back after a lot of complaining to the dealership and/or corporate.

All the dealer lifetime sealants are a bunch of crap.

haha, I'm a Toyota/Nissan/Dodge/Mazda prep detailer. lol Ya, we use xilon too. There is a guy on here I sent a sample to for him to test. We'll see if its for real, but I doubt it, the stuff applies like alchol. lol THe dude that supplies our bulk (granatize crap) also supplies the xilon. BTW that guy is an idiot and knows nothing about detailing.

What a surprise...the supplier doesn't even know anything about the products he supplies.

Pontman, you keep that crap away from those Mazdas!

I got a sample from Pontman to put on one of my vehicles. I just did it last night after stripping off the Nattys I had on.

First impressions are... well... it's shiny. :D

It stinks like fuel oil or kerosene when you apply it. 10 hours later my garage still stunk. Weird. Not sure the purpose of such a high solvent in a protectant like this, but I'm no engineer.

Application is a breeze. Wipe on wipe off. I was cracking up the whole time I was applying it. We're in the wrong gig if a dealership can get you to spend $800 wiping this stuff on your paint!

I did the entire vehicle, and all four rims. Time will tell if it lasts. I was hoping to get some photos before the weather turns nasty on me. If I can get the vehicle home clean tonight I'll snap a couple shots to use as reference.

My plan was to throw some water on the hood and see how it beads. Then do the same test every 30 days and see what happens. If I could get some baseline photos I may be able to take the same photos at different intervals (30,60,90) and see if can visually determine a loss in gloss.

Slickness was my final factor. I'm not sure how I'm going to determine any loss in slickness unless it's dramatic. I suppose i'll just take a lot of notes.

I'll head over to thier website and look to see what "claims" they have. I know the dealerships have some pie in the sky claims, but I'd like to get it right frm the source.

GAME ON!

ive been to the website...the pamphlet i have tells me more about it than the website....well anyhow...i almost messed myself on the fact that the dealer sells that crap for $450 a treatment.....they claim its guarnteed for 5 years on a new car....and 3 for a used car....the way i see it.....6 months will shock me

What does the pamphlet say? I emailed the company and they told me that they would not sell to a mobile detailing company and they would not give me any information. I was suprised by how rude they were. I told them I'd buy it online and sell it to my customers. (fat chance I'd ever do that, but they don't need to know).

well the interior treatment...and by that i mean the fabric protector is good....probbly for like i said 6 mos....but the paint protectant claims

1. Reduces frequency of car washing

2.filters harmful ultraviolet rays

3.resists bird dropping and graffiti

4.resists water spoting

5.resists industrial fallout

6.resists rust spots

7.resists acid rain

8.resists tree sap

9.reduces brake dust on wheels

10.resists oxidation and fading

the only thing that will reduce frequency of car washing is an owner that doesn't care.

Are you telling me that you guys actually apply this crap to wheels? I've never heard of a dealership actually applying a protectant to wheels.

aint worth the time...takes too long....and dosent work anybetter....i tried it on my rams wheels...painted alloys.....turtlewax platnum does a much better job

You can get it here online if you really want. Snake oil by the box!

I found the link on an RV forum. RV dealers were charging $1800 to apply it to an RV. I'm sure it's the same stuff. (ah and the clay bar they have there is only 200grams. I was hoping I had found a new source for a loarger clay bar. :(

I did get pictures last night. I have a controled picture of the fender and a control of 8 oz of water thrown on the hood and fender in one swoosh. It sheeted right off, but I would expect that from any product 24 hours after applying. The real test will be after a few washes and a couple thousand miles on salty snowy roads.

The boxes of clay we get have two pretty big bars in them and they look like those. Pretty good clay too.

Resist All is what my parents paid for on their new Hondas. :( Seems better than xilon though. I have a kit sitting im my garage.
