X-state trip-no bug splatter-what to do?

Hey guys I am driving to cali this week and was wondering what is the best way to protect my sideviews/headlight lenses and bumper from Bug splatter? I was thinking or masking them off with 3m blue masking tape and some shopping bags. I dont care what it looks like just as long when I get there I dont to induce marring from getting them off. The front windshield is easy it is the others that are hard. Thanks in advance for the help. And no I will not spray Pam on the bumpers! (Maxim Magazines advice)

Put a couple of coats of EX-P on the leading edges of the car. I have been doing that lately. It won't keep the bugs off, but when you go to get them off with the wash or S&W, they come right off. On the stubborn ones, I have been using Bug Squash, but I don't think it's officially released yet. If you can get your hands on some, it makes the clean up a lot easier.

how about trying some clear box tape? it might take some time putting it on the front end, but it won't draw as much attention as blue tape and bags.

What Jared said. Last summer I went on a road trip in my soft-as-he// SS black 4Runner and blue taped the nose and under the headlamps, and layed S100 down twice in a week on the entire thing. I really don't care what it looks like to others, I actually got some smiles and nods from other drivers. When I got to my destination I pulled the tape, S&Wed and looked like a million bucks.
